Overview
Morning Squeeze checks all the brunch boxes. Locations in the heart of Scottsdale, Phoenix and Tempe? Check. Fresh squeezed orange juice? Check. Instagram-delicious stuffed French toast? Double check.
But in 2019, Morning Squeeze faced a problem. Summer in the valley is always slow, but the Downtown Tempe location faced even slower traffic due to road closures and construction on Mill Avenue for the city’s trolley line project. Morning Squeeze sensed trouble brewing and called TBCo PR Pro Angela Muniz.
Our team created an affordable, integrated marketing and public relations campaign geared toward both existing customers and potential customers using television, print, email, and online coverage. First things first, they needed a promotion to get butts in the booths. TBCo and Morning Squeeze created a weekday promotion for the entire summer offering a free kids menu to children under 12. School’s out…gotta take those tots somewhere.
What We Did
From there, we publicized. TBCo:
- Drafted press releases and pitched media outlets to secure television, print and online coverage.
- Created a social media campaign for Facebook and Instagram.
- Photographed the mouth-watering kids menu.
- Set up email campaigns to Morning Squeeze’s customer database (collected through Zenreach).
- Facilitated community outreach in partnership with the Downtown Tempe Authority.
Our hard work paid off in spades. Here’s the best part of every story…the finish line.
- Morning Squeeze was interviewed live on Fox 10’s Arizona Morning and AZ Family’s Good Morning Arizona about the promotion.
- TBCo social media posts performed twice as well as other daily posts for fan engagement.
- Downtown Tempe included Morning Squeeze in media coverage for its Hard Hat business support efforts.
- Google searches for Morning Squeeze doubled for the summer from the previous year.
