In partnership with the City of Tucson, TBCo launched an outreach effort to initiate conversations regarding opportunities to establish a Business Improvement District (BID) in an area north of downtown Tucson.
Branding and Collateral – TBCo created an identity for the BID Planning Area. Naming it El
Corazón de Tucson showcased how the community considered the neighborhood the Heart
of Tucson. Branding included a dynamic color palette incorporated into collateral pieces
like an area map, postcard mailer, informational fact sheets, leave behind fl yers, and meeting
engagement boards.
Community Outreach – TBCo informed property owners, employees, residents, and others
in the El Corazón Planning Area about engagement opportunities using a mix of in-person
outreach and digital communication. This included a direct mail piece, emailed notifi cations,
and putting boots to the ground with hand delivered notifi cations. The in-person effort allowed
us to listen to concerns, answer questions about the initiative, and grow our
stakeholder database.
Public Involvement – TBCo organized three meeting opportunities for the community to learn
about the BID process and engage with city leaders:
TBCo also created an online survey with questions that gauged connection to the area, interest
in participating in the BID process, and open-ended opportunities to share thoughts.
